Dickey's Barbecue Pit restaurants in the Twin Cities, Minn., area announced recently they will donate 5 percent of sales July 11-12 to flood relief efforts. Dickey's Chairman Roland Dickey will also hand out 100 free autographed copies of his cookbook at the Plymouth store on July 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Plymouth location will also give away free barbecue for the year to one guest. Dickey’s Barbecue in Plymouth is located at 3195 Vicksburg Lane.
“We’re excited Mr. Dickey is coming to town to help us with local flood relief efforts,” said local franchise owner, Tom Eggerud, in a company press release. “We have great customers and a wonderful community – we want to show them how much we appreciate their continued support by giving something back.”
Radio personalities Mike Max from WCCO as well as Paul Koffy from Buzz’n will also be on-site on July 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for merchandise giveaways and prizes. All Twin Cities metro locations including Chaska, Maple Grove, Eagan, Shakopee, Savage, Eden Prairie, Burnsville, Coon Rapids, North Branch and St. Cloud are participating in the giveback weekend.
