Tully's Coffee CEO steps down

August 16, 2006

SEATTLE — The president and chief operating officer of Tully's Coffee, a fast-casual coffeehouse, is stepping down, and the company said it had named a member of its board of directors as its new president and chief executive officer.

Tully's said John Dresel was leaving the coffee chain to pursue another business opportunity in the Seattle area, and that he will be replaced by John Buller, a board member since March 2005.

In a statement released by the Seattle-based company, Tom T. O'Keefe, Tully's chairman, said Buller was chosen "because of his solid experience in retail and marketing."
