According to The Montreal Gazette, Starbucks Corp. is trying to negotiate better terms with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. in an attempt to establish itself as a dominant force in the U.S. single-cup coffee market, analysts said on Friday.
Green Mountain, with a more than 80 per cent share of the single-cup market, makes Keurigbranded machines that brew individual cups of coffee with small plastic packets of coffee, which it also provides.
