Tropical Smoothie Café has announced the hiring of Cyndi Richardson as vice president of marketing. In this role, Richardson will be responsible for creating and managing all national marketing campaigns for the brand's more than 300 locations.
As a 27-year restaurant and hospitality veteran, Richardson previously served as Arby's vice president of marketing and as an area marketing director for Hardee's Food Systems throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
Richardson will be spearheading the five key promotion periods Tropical Smoothie Café conducts throughout the year. Each promotion period highlights seasonal menu items and limited time offerings.
Richardson also provides leadership for the Café's annual philanthropic promotion, National Flip Flop Day, which raises funds to sponsor families of terminally ill children to attend a week at Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine.
"Tropical Smoothie Café has exciting plans for 2012, starting with a revamped menu, launching this month," Richardson said. "I'm excited to be part of such an amazing team of professionals and look forward to helping TSC continue to grow and thrive."
