Tropical Smoothie Cafe to open 1st Delaware unit

Tropical Smoothie Café's first location in Delaware will host a two-day grand opening celebration at the Wilmington store on July 21 and 22, according to a press release.

The first 50 guests will receive free smoothies for a year, and all guests will receive a second menu item for free with a purchase. On July 22, the location will donate 10 percent of its proceeds to the Mill Creek Fire Company.

Owned by franchisee Steve Modi and business partners Vijay and Jimi Modi, the unit is a 1,1881-square-feet location. The Modis plan to open five more in the state.
