Tropical Smoothie Cafe announces second Gainesville location

Tropical Smoothie Café will open its second Gainesville, Florida location on Aug. 4, according to a press release.

The concept will treat guests to several promotions during its grand opening at 7 a.m., including $1.99 flatbreads with the purchase of another item and free smoothies for a year to the first 50 customers.  

"Joining the Tropical Smoothie Café system has proven to be a wise decision for us," Dhairya Chaudari, who owns the unit with Vipul Chadauri, said in the release.  "It is a unique brand, with a bold, fresh, flavorful menu which is what attracted us to the business,"

The franchisee duo also operates QSR ice cream locations in the Gainesville area and have been residents for over a decade.
