Toronto’s Big Smoke Burger expanding to Vancouver

Toronto-based Big Smoke Burger is expanding its presence in Canada with a new franchise deal for three units in Vancouver, B.C. The deal was signed with franchisee Haley Grewal, who is currently evaluating real estate and plans to be open by early 2015, according to a news release.

“Big Smoke Burger has proven they can work in any market and can adapt to various sites/formats. The unique taste from the combination of the beef, toppings and their signature sauces is what really hooked me,” Grewal said.

There are five locations in Toronto. Big Smoke has also expanded to the U.S. with a unit open in Denver and deals signed for N.Y., Chicago and Detroit, as well as the Middle East where it recently opened its third unit, located in Bahrain.
