Tiki Taco brings Hawaiian islands to DC

Chef Ryan Fichter has opened the first Tiki Tacos at 2010 P St., N.W. in Washington. Tiki Tacos' menu is inspired by his years of island culinary experience while living in Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaii, according to a company press release. 
 
The menu features traditional comfort food and weekly specials, including a soft shell crab taco or a roasted cauliflower taco with curried carrot salad.  
 
"I want people to taste the cuisine of the islands and experience a little bit of a twist on foods they already know," Fichter said in a company press release.
