The Halal Guys opening Ohio franchise

New York City-based The Halal Guys has signed a deal to open its first locations in Ohio and more than double its presence in the Midwest.
The Smart Choice LLC franchisee group will open seven locations this year in the greater Columbus area, according to a press release.

"We were passionate customers before we became franchise partners, and whenever we visited New York or Chicago, our first (of many) stops was always The Halal Guys," a spokesperson for Smart Choice Food LLC said in the release. "We believe in this brand and are confident it will be successful in Columbus."

The Halal Guys operates 87 locations with plans to expand to 400 in the next several years.
