July 1, 2014

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will donate $1 to Operation Homefront from every purchase of its special "Support at Home" coffee and tea – and encourage customers to purchase and donate the products as well – through Aug. 10.

Support At Home Coffee, a Sumatra and Brazil blend of ground coffee, will be available in 12-ounce bags in participating stores and online while supplies last for $9.95.

Support At Home Tea, 100 percent hand-picked Ceylon black tea leaves from Bogawantalawa Estate in Sri Lanka will be available in a 20-count tea tin at participating stores and online while supplies last for $8.95.

Customers are also invited to donate their Support At Home Coffee or Tea purchases to military members and families. Customers may personalize their donations with a message on each coffee bag and tea tin label. Operation Homefront will distribute the donated coffee and tea to military members and families in need throughout the U.S.

"Support at Home is a fantastic opportunity for us to team up with our customers and Operation Homefront to provide assistance to the military families based here in the U.S.," CEO John Dawson said in a company press release. "The generosity of our dedicated customers is what makes this charitable campaign a success. We hope these donations convey how grateful we are for the service of our military families while providing them the simple pleasure and comfort of enjoying a great cup coffee or tea."

Operation Homefront provides emergency financial assistance and other support to families of service members and wounded warriors, the release said.
