Taqueria del Sol sets sights on Orlando

Taqueria del Sol, a Georgia fast casual chain, is opening in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 1, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The new restaurant, opening at 3138 S. Orange Ave., just south of downtown, is the chain's first venture outside Georgia. It opened in 2000 and now has four locations in Atlanta and Athens, Ga.

Franchise owners Brandon and Charlie Bengel of BRMGRP, who already  own and operate 17 Five Guys restaurants in Central Florida, plan to open 11 Taqueria del Sols over the next several years in Central and South Florida.
