Swipely ramping up in the restaurant space

Business insights provider Swipely is managing over $4 billion in annual sales on its cloud-based platform for restaurant, hospitality and retail brands.

In the last six months, Swipely said it has doubled sales under management and provides insights on more than 20 million consumers. These figures represent a four-fold increase over the past year, according to a release from the company.

Swipely's cloud-based platform enables operators to see payments, point-of-sale, and online data.

"Leading multiunit brands such as Four Corners Tavern Group, Hal Smith Restaurant Group and Sushi Samba are choosing Swipely to turn data into action to build lasting relationships with customers and grow revenue," said Angus Davis, Swipely founder and CEO, in the release. A typical Swipely customer is a restaurant or retail business grossing over $1 million per location, according to the release.

Swipely has grown from fewer than 30 employees at the start of 2013 to more than 150 employees, and is adding more staff.
