Sweetgreen opens first Georgetown location

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Greens Restaurant Group LLC, a new enterprise founded by four Georgetown, Washington, D.C., grads, announced the opening of their first project — Sweetgreen.
Sweetgreen will open for lunch and dinner, serving options such as chef-crafted salads and wraps, and real frozen yogurt with fresh fruit toppings.
The grab-and-go menu at Sweetgreen will be comprised of original recipe salads and traditionalfavorites for salads and wraps, the shop also will feature real frozen yogurt and a variety of organic and locally distributed bottled beverages such as juices and herbal teas.
The menu is broken into categories such as "chef crafted", "old school favorites", "mix your own greens" and yogurt choices under "sweetflow". In everything, the emphasis is on fresh, organic and locally available products to offer healthy, alternative options and to draw attention to social responsibility and sustainable living.
