The very outwardly green, sweetFrog, has taken on a whole different hue for the holidays to support The Salvation Army's 126th annual Red Kettle Campaign. Customers who purchase Salvation Army pin-ups, emblazoned with holiday wishes, will each help their favorite store slowly go red as it fills with pin-ups as a show of support and donations for The Salvation Army's annual bell-ringing Red Kettle Campaign.
The chain has also created a new holiday "Santa's Sweet Salvation" treat to call attention to the cause. That LTO features peppermint froyo and chocolate gelato swirled together and topped with mini York peppermint patties and chocolate sauce. SweetFrog is also offering limited -edition red "tacky" sweatshirts featuring the brand's mascots, Scoop and Cookie, as snowmen. Proceeds from online sales of the shirts go to the Salvation Army, according to a news release.
"SweetFrog is honored to help these programs that fight hunger, provide shelter or ensure Christmas assistance for those in need," said CMO Matt Smith.
