An e-book from Steritech offers restaurant operators insights from more than 1,000 diners on delivery and carry-out experiences. The “Opportunity To Go” book provides graphs and statistics regarding frequency of to-go use, as well as how orders are being placed, common delivery issues and consumer feedback, according to a press release.
For example the book reveals diners, ages 36 to 51, are ordering restaurant delivery more than any other age group.
Other findings include:
• More than seven out of 10 survey-takers used restaurant delivery services in the six months prior to the survey.
• 50.4% of delivery-users are regular users, ordering delivery more than four times.
• The three most common problems experienced with delivery include order accuracy, packaging issues and delivery driver issues.
• 57% of those who experienced an order problem called the restaurant to get a resolution.
