Starbucks: We’re not selling UK business

Starbucks Corp. is not looking to sell off its U.K. business and has not begun any sort of formal sales effort.

The statement Sunday, given to Reuters, comes on the heels of report on Saturday from The Times stating the coffee chain was looking into a potential sale of its U.K. operations.

It also comes in the same week of Starbucks announcing that the chain's August employee training sessions will include active shooter training, mental health first aid training and lessons on deescalating situations.
