Starbucks red cups arrive for holiday season

Starbucks customers can now get a free limited edition reusable red cup, while supplies last, and a drink discount when using the cup on future purchases through Jan. 6. The cups became available on Nov. 7.

The cup signifies the start of the holiday season for the brand and this year's theme, Merry Coffee, features the phrase on a red background, according to a company announcement. Customers buying a 16-ounce beverage with the cup will receive a 50-cent discount.

This year's holiday beverage offerings include caramel brulée latte, chestnut praline latte, eggnog latte, gingerbread latte (available in Canada only), hot chocolate, peppermint hot chocolate, peppermint mocha, pumpkin spice latte, salted caramel hot chocolate, salted caramel mocha and toasted white chocolate mocha (available in U.S. only).
