Starbucks has confirmed that it is raising its prices but that the increases only affect "select beverages in the U.S.," and that they are only "slight" increases.
"The pricing for the vast majority of beverages will not change in most stores," Jamie Riley, of the chain's Global Communications staff, wrote in an email to fastcasual.com. "We evaluate pricing on a product-by-product and market-by-market basis in our stores. Though, nationally, the average beverage purchase increase will be about 1 percent."
