Starbucks opens second 'masked' location
November 18, 2009
On Sept. 18, Starbucks opened its second location under the name Roy Street Coffee & Tea on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
A Seattle Post-Intelligencerreporter blogsaid the store features "tall curtains, mirrors and high back chairs inspired by the style of the nearby Harvard Exit Theater and Tudor style of the Loveless building next door."
The Roy Street Starbucks is located near Seattle's theater district and also features furnishings from area vintage and antique stores.

Visitors will take part in coffee cuppings, where customers can explore new coffee, goods from Essential Baking, salad and Chef Tom Douglas's tomato soup. Along with all the selections, there is a drop down screen for film showings and different areas with different lighting levels. Four unisex bathrooms are available for customers, although a diaper changing table is not available yet.
