Starbucks names new consumer products president
May 18, 2010
Starbucks Coffee Co. has appointed Jeff Hansberry as president of the company's global consumer products group and foodservice. Hansberry will start in June, reporting to chairman, president and CEO Howard Schultz.
Starbucks has put a stronger emphasis on its consumer products business to help round out its business model after an expansion of its retail business led to job cuts and store closures. The company also has recently launched a new flavored coffee for home brew and instant coffee lines.
Hansberry worked recently for E&J Gallo Winery, where he was vice president and general manager, and previously worked at Procter & Gamble.
