Starbucks lays off 100 employees

Seattle Times: Starbucks Corp. has laid off 100 employees, including 25 at its Seattle headquarters.

The other 75 people worked in field locations throughout the United States, said spokeswoman Anna Kim-Williams. Starbucks employed about 172,000 people worldwide, including 144,000 in the United States, at the end of September 2007.
