Stan's Donuts & Coffee brings back summer menu

Stan's Donuts & Coffee, a Chicago-based donut shop, is offering fans a taste of summer with a line of new drinks, including the Red Velvet Frozen Hot Chocolate, Chocolate Cherry Shake or the Cold Brew Float. Available May 1, the shakes feature Stan's vanilla ice cream, according to a company press release.

Inspired by Red Velvet cake, Stan's Red Velvet Frozen Hot Chocolate features hot chocolate mix, milk, ice and cream cheese and comes garnished with cream cheese frosting, whipped cream and red velvet donut crumbles. The Cold Brew Float has cold brew and vanilla soft serve ice cream, and the Chocolate Cherry Shake features cherries, dark chocolate curls and a vanilla ice cream base.

Classic shakes such as Strawberry and Chocolate, Butterfinger, Biscoff, Caramel, Nutella, Cold Brew Coffee, Oreo and PB&J are also available at all 13 of Stan's locations. All milkshakes are customizable, and customers with a serious sweet tooth may get the "Super Stack," which comes with a second mini-donut on top or an add-on cookie.

Master baker Rich Labriola of Labriola Baking Company opened the first Stan's Donuts & Coffee in Chicago in 2014, the result of a friendship and partnership with Stan Berman, founder of the Los Angeles shop that bears his name.
