SoundHound joins Toast Partner Ecosystem

SoundHound, a voice AI provider, is joining the Toast Partner Ecosystem.

The integration will introduce SoundHound for Restaurants as a voice tech provider to Toast POS clients.

The SoundHound voice assistant can take food and drink orders via the phone, menu kiosks and drive-thrus. It allows for modifications, can answer questions and even upsell, according to a press release.

The technology uses a patented voice AI system that can understand natural human speech.

Toast's partner ecosystem boasts more than 180 partners that deliver specialized tech and services.

"We're delighted to introduce SoundHound For Restaurant's voice technology to our Toast Partner Ecosystem. With more restaurants finding a need to automate interactions like ordering and sales, we're happy to be working with SoundHound to help optimize these functions and more," Keith Corbin, senior director, business development at Toast, said in the release. "By bringing SoundHound to the Toast Platform, we're helping restaurants keep up with changing guest expectations and deliver a more personalized experience to guests."
