Sonoma Chicken Coop inks N.J. expansion deal

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Northern Calif.-based Sonoma Chicken Coop has closed a multiunit franchise deal in Northern New Jersey. Franchisees Gary Vega and Bill Cook own four Fuddruckers and one Red Robin, and plan to open the first of three new restaurants by early 2009.
Sonoma Chicken Coop was founded in 2002 by Jeff Starbeck, Bob and Bonnie Ray, and MacKenzie Davis in downtown San Jose, Calif. The menu featurespizza, pasta, entrée salads, sandwiches, steaks, ribs, fish, rotisserie chicken and appetizers and desserts. All restaurants also offer full bar service.
