Smoothie King celebrates 1000th store

Smoothie King opened its 1,000th store  Thursday, in Richardson, Texas, according to a press release.

"This is an incredible milestone in our company's history and in our journey to inspire people to live healthy and active lifestyles," CEO Wan Kim, said in the release. "It's even more special that we've reached this goal right here in our new home market and can celebrate with our neighbors and friends.

The  1000th store showcases a menu centered on developing exclusive, proprietary cleaner blending recipes, which eludes to no added sugar, more fruits and veggies, no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

"2018 is a big year in our evolution," said Kim. "We made the move to Dallas, made significant changes to our menu, ingredient list and restaurants, and now celebrate 1,000 locations. What hasn't changed is our commitment to helping people live a healthy and active lifestyle."

In the first half of 2018, Smoothie King opened 49 locations, and it projects to open a total of 130 locations by year's end.
