Slapfish swims into East Coast market

Slapfish has inked a multi-unit franchise deal for the northern Virginia market, marking the California-based concept's first locations on the East Coast, according to a press release.

"It's a very exciting time for Slapfish to expand to the East Coast," Chef and Founder Andrew Gruel said in the release. "We're looking forward to our first opening in Virginia and meeting new seafood lovers. We're hopeful we'll continue expanding up and down the coast."

Fransmart owns exclusive franchising rights to Slapfish, according to the release. It's the franchise developer behind concepts including Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill.
