Singapore students create machine for renting reusable food containers

A group of Singapore students have developed a vending machine to allow people to rent food containers and other reusable items during the recent Sustainability Exchange 2022 youth mentorship program, according to a Malay Mail report. The items can be returned to the machine for cleaning.

Team ReuseOnly was one of five selected from the Sustainability Exchange program to receive an OCBCCares Environment Fund, which provides financing for sustainability solutions.

The fund will work with the teams to review the feasibility of their projects and the final budget allocation, which it will disperse by the end of the year.
