Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll and several Seahawks players donned Starbucks green aprons to serve as guest baristas at 10 store locations in the Seattle area recently. The appearances were part of the efforts by Starbucks and the Seahawks to raise funds for A Better Seattle.

Seahawks players Malcolm Smith, Luke Willson, Greg Scruggs, D'Anthony Smith, Mike Morgan, Bryan Walters, Steven Hauschka, DeShawn Shead and Russell Okung fanned out to stores in Seattle, Kirkland and Bellevue, Washington.

"This is amazing that our guys are such a part of the community that they come out to do things like this," said Seahawks fan Jacob Wells in a press release issued by Starbucks. "The 12's love the Seahawks for all they do off the field and on."

Another part of the Seahawks-Starbucks partnership gives customers an opportunity to support those who benefit from A Better Seattle through a new Starbucks-Seahawks gift card, now available in Washington state stores.

From now through Sept. 21, Starbucks will donate 25-cents to A Better Seattle each time customers pay with the Seahawks-Starbucks card.
