OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha-based Scooter's Coffeehouse has opened its 50th location in Nebraska.
Scooter's, the largest locally owned coffee chain in Nebraska and Iowa, and the second-largest in the Kansas City, Mo., area, has locations in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Texas and Arizona.
"Our expansion is a huge deal," said Don Eckles, Scooter's founder and senior vice president of Scooter's parent SJE Holdings Inc.
In recent months, Scooter's began offering grab-and-go products such as breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
Entrepreneur Magazine recently ranked it 379th among its top-500 franchise list, and 26th on its list of top new franchises.
