The drive-thru experience driving growth for Scooter's Coffee

February 7, 2020

Coffee drinkers are using the drive-thru more than ever, according to a Statista report that said drive-thru coffee orders have increased over the past five years, with 46% of people saying they had purchased coffee using a drive-thru the day before.

That's good news for Scooter's Coffee, considering its goal is to become the top drive-thru coffee franchise in the nation and has hit a growth spurt. The Midwest-based franchise's latest opening is in Ardmore, Oklahoma, but it recently added five locations in Kansas and Missouri, opened the second location in the state of Arkansas and is building locations in Dallas and Denver.

"We're excited to expand into another community of Oklahoma," Tim Arpin, Scooter's Coffee VP of franchise sales said in a company press release. "We're honored for the opportunity to bring our amazing products and amazingly fast service to Ardmore and look forward to getting to know the members of our community."

Scooter's, which serves in hand-tamped espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and its signature drink, the CarameliciousÒ, last year added a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee and Cold Brew & Cream.

“My wife and I grew up here, and that makes us very excited to bring such a quality product to the Ardmore area," franchisee Phillip Blue said in the release. "After going to multiple locations and receiving the same treatment, I realized this is something our community needs. There will be real people behind this store and that means so much to so many people."

Scooter's has more than 250 locations in 14 states and has over 200 franchise commitments to build new stores.
