Salsarita's launches Scratch & Win promo

Salsarita's Fresh Cantina has launched its Scratch & Win promotion in which every guest is an instant winner. Until April 12, Salsarita's will distribute 300,000 complimentary Scratch & Win cards to customers with the chance to win the Grand Prize of a free entrée once a week for an entire year. Each of its nearly 100 locations will have a grand prize winner. Additional prizes include various free menu items or discounts.
 
"The beauty of this promotion is that every card is an automatic winner, offering us the opportunity to thank our guests for visiting Salsarita's while increasing trial and showcasing our delicious menu items," Paul Mangiamele, president and CEO, Salsarita's Fresh Cantina, said in a news release.
 
Salsarita's experienced success in 2009 with new restaurant openings in Charlotte and Greenville, N.C.; Clarence, N.Y.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Murfreesboro and Knoxville, Tenn.; and other markets around the country. In addition, new development agreements were signed for the opening of more than 15 locations in the United States.
 
Additionally, the company is closing in on its first 100 restaurants with the goal of having 200 open and operating by the end of 2014. Most recently, non-traditional locations opened in Auburn University in Alabama and at the Lowe's Home Improvement Corporate Headquarters in Charlotte.
 
"Many chains discourage couponing, which we feel is counter intuitive for our fast casual offering since customers are seeking ways to save on restaurant meals now more than ever," Mangiamele said. "Ultimately, we want our customers to become lifetime guests and this unique promotion is focused on delivering value, while exposing our guests to our legendary food and hospitality."
