Salsarita's launches national breakfast catering program

October 14, 2009

Salsarita's Fresh Cantina has expanded catering beyond lunch and dinner to include a breakfast program after testing its acceptance in select markets across the country.

Catering menu options include a breakfast burrito bar consisting of eggs, bacon or sausage, Mexican potatoes, salsa and cheese or a traditional breakfast with biscuits. Fresh fruit, Danishes, coffee and assorted juices also are available.

"As we continue to grow as a brand, breakfast catering is a great tool for our franchisees to expand their revenue base," said Paul Mangiamele, president and CEO of Salsarita's Fresh Cantina. "Although this will not be an appropriate fit for all stores, we've already seen it gain up to 10 to 12 percent of our sales mix in select markets."

Salsarita's also is looking for qualified candidates with food service, operations or real estate experience to join its team as area representatives, area developers or single-unit franchisees. The estimated initial investment for a traditional restaurant is between $296,700 and $577,100.
