Saladworks further expands into Delaware

Saladworks has signed an agreement with franchisee Joe Mignone to open his third location in Delaware. The restaurant, scheduled to open this fall, expands the Saladworks brand in the state to five restaurants.

Mignone, a Saladworks franchisee since 1997, is one of more than 75 percent of franchisees who own more than one restaurant.

“I came to Saladworks after spending more than 15 years in real estate. I had seen the brand grow from their first Cherry Hill location and I was looking for the consistent income that the food business generated. Even though I came in with no restaurant experience, Saladworks’ business coaches gave me consistent, hands on guidance,” he said.

The deal comes after six months of growth for the chain. In March, Saladworks announced two franchise deals for two locations each. CEO John Scardapane also was named CEO of the Year by SmartCEO magazine in June.
