Saladworks announces record growth in 2011

January 25, 2012

Saladworks has announced that its stores had a record year with strong surges in same store sales, with fourth quarter results showing a 15 percent comps increase and a year-over-year increase of 7 percent.

Additionally, Saladworks awarded agreements for 73 new locations to both new and existing franchisees, representing a 78 percent increase in franchise revenue. The brand, already in 12 states, is expanding in major markets such as Washington State, Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas, Florida, California, Arizona and Washington D.C.

Growth in 2011 also included the first international development agreement for Saladworks. The 15-store agreement with Amos Lee of Singapore calls for the opening of his first restaurant in 2012 and two more in 2013.

Saladworks also announced a number of programs designed to reward existing fans for their loyal patronage. Saladworks fans can now obtain a Fresh Fan Card as part of the customer rewards program. Customers will receive points for each dollar spent, allowing them to accumulate points redeemable for their favorite menu items.

In an effort to constantly listen to the feedback of its fans, Saladworks also launched SaladworksListens.com, which welcomes all customer submissions by location. The website is monitored 24 hours a day and Saladworks uses the submissions to further enhance their customer experience.

“Last year was perhaps the most momentous in our 25 year history,” said John Scardapane, Saladworks founder and CEO. Saladworks has more than 2,000 team-members in 100 restaurants across the US, and it’s due to their hard work and dedication that we continue to grow, build on our existing successes and will be opening 25 new locations in 2012.”
