Rosati’s Pizza has promoted Tim McCarthy to the position of vice president of franchise development. McCarthy led the franchise to the largest growth period in more than 50 years. Forty new Rosati’s Pizza Sports Pubs have been added to the franchise since 2012, according to a company press release.
"Investing in a franchise is a large purchasing decision and for Tim McCarthy to successfully find new franchisees as rapidly as he has, says something about his work ethic, dedication and experience in the franchise industry," said Anthony Rosati, key principal of Rosati’s Franchising Inc. "He shows tenacity and a passion for the goal of growth for the franchise and we are grateful to have him part of our team."
McCarthy spent 17 years in franchise development working for UPS, Cold Stone Creamery and Re-Bath, the release stated.
"I feel very fortunate to have found the perfect fit with Rosati’s Pizza," McCarthy said. "The timing was perfect and I feel very privileged to have participated in and contributed to the initial launch of the new full-service sports pub concept. We have had a great ride so far and it is only going to get better."
The first Rosati’s Pizza Pub opened in Yorkville, Illinois, in 2010 and has steadily increased sales. It is the highest grossing sports pub in the system. There are currently 47 sports pubs open. When McCarthy joined the team in 2012, there were seven sports pubs.
The first Rosati’s Authentic Chicago Pizzeria opened in a Chicago suburb in 1964. Today, Rosati's Pizza has 150 carryout/delivery, sit-down and full-service sports pubs in 13 states.
