Rising Roll reinvents image, franchising

Rising Roll is releasing a new restaurant design, a new logo, an expanded menu and an updated service model, according to a press release. Most importantly, the concept is rolling out a revamped franchise strategy.

"Like countless other brands over the past decade or so, we saw the entry into non-traditional spaces as a way to build brand recognition and provide our product to a growing consumer base," Rising Roll CEO Mike Lassiter said in the release. "However, as demand continued to grow for our product, we realized that the brand held a favorable position compared to the others for whom traditional avenues had been saturated."

Hailed by USA Today as the "nation's best for a sandwich," Rising Roll began franchising in 2003 but saw it was missing out on many different territories. The concept is now looking for single- and multi-unit franchisees as well as area representatives to develop specific territories, according to the release.
