Networld Media Group, the parent company of FastCasual, has postponed the Restaurant Franchising and Innovation Summit, set for March 16-18 in Atlanta, according to Cherryh Cansler, Networld's vice president of editorial and FastCasual editor.
"We held it together as long as we could, but due to travel bans, the World Health Organization's announcement and a concern for health and safety of our customers, we have made this decision," she said. "We'll still have the event in Atlanta, so we can honor all attendee and sponsor investments."
Networld Publisher Kathy Doyle said that means all sponsors and attendees will have their spots saved for them at the event reboot. Dates are being discussed now.
"Our customers have been amazingly supportive of this decision," Doyle said. "It’s gratifying to know people will pull together in an emergency."
