Red Mango launches 'skinny' dessert

Red Mango has launched a dessert with calorie counters in mind. Skinny Sorbettos are pro-biotic-infused, softly frozen dairy free desserts, inspired by the artisanal sorbets made famous in Italy, according to a company press release. The treats come in two flavors: Low calorie, no-sugar added Raspberry and low fat, sugar-free Dark Chocolate.

Designed for consumers who want to limit their sugar intake but not compromise on flavor or quality, Skinny Sorbettos also represent the company's first sugar-free or no-sugar added frozen treats that are sweetened only with natural stevia, instead of artificial sweeteners, said Dan Kim, founder of Red Mango.

The Raspberry is made with real tangy raspberries and offers a sweet and refreshing flavor, while premium sugar-free cocoa defines the rich and velvety taste of the Dark Chocolate.

"I'm really excited about our Skinny Sorbettos because those who can't eat a lot of sugar can now enjoy the unique and incredibly delicious flavors that define the experience at Red Mango," Kim said. "They're also a great option for frozen dessert consumers who have milk allergies or are on strict, reduced-calorie diets."

In addition to being gluten free, Red Mango Skinny Sorbettos are fortified with GanedenBC30 (Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086), the patented pro-biotics that help support the immune and digestive systems when consumed as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
