Raising Cane's names Rodney Morris chief people officer

DALLAS — Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers has named Rodney Morris as chief people officer.
 
In this newly created position, Morris will manage recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, risk management, training, development and the Cane's Love crewmember recognition and reward program.
 
Morris brings more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry directly involving training and human resource functions to Raising Cane's. He will be based at the newly opened Dallas Restaurant Support Office.
 
Prior to joining Raising Cane's, Morris served as senior vice president of human resources for Fired Up Inc., operating as Carino's Italian restaurants. In that role, Morris was responsible for strategic oversight of human resources, recruiting, performance development and catering functions. Preceding that position, Morris served as vice president of human resources – emerging concepts at Brinker International Inc. in Dallas. His career also has included human resources positions at Pasta Pomodoro Inc., World Wrapps Inc., Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp. and Wyatt Cafeteria's Inc.
 
Morris is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration.
