QSR introduces self-serve automation

Apex Order Pick-Up Technologies is introducing its "Flow-Thru Locker" at the 2018 National Restaurant Association Show, according to a press release. 

The rising popularity of mobile ordering has created the need for in-store order pickup solutions. Apex Order Technology worked with more than 12 QSRs to address this need with Flow-Thru Lockers that eliminate waiting lines for customers and hassle for workers. 

The solution consists of two-sided lockers where order-ahead customers can pick up their meal without interrupting in-store customers. Status notifications let pickup customers know how their meal is coming along.
