Vancouver, Canada-based pizza and delivery restaurant point of sale developer SpeedLine Solutions Inc. announced a new integration with ConnectSmart Kitchen automation software from Louisville, Kentucky-based QSR Automations.
"SpeedLine has supported kitchen display software and systems from QSR Automations for a number of years,” said SpeedLine marketing manager Jennifer Wiebe in a statement. "Many of our restaurant clients rely on these systems to control speed of service and minimize the costs and delays associated with printed tickets in the kitchen."
ConnectSmart Kitchen offers restaurant operators the ability to customize options to control the routing and display of items on kitchen displays. Users can highlight item and order details with their choice of colors, fonts and formatting. ConnectSmart also supports graphical menu cards and online video training via touchscreen or widescreen displays.
The software provides real-time speed of service information, allowing management to compare production and speed metrics to improve operations.
Items can display at specific prep stations based on an order's cook time with delay routing features. Changes to orders will display in the expeditor station, allowing staff to view status updates.
