Fiesta Group Inc continues to grow internationally with the expansion of Caribbean-inspired concept, Pollo Tropical.
The group has signed an agreement to open five locations in Guyana, South America. The first opening, in the capital city of Georgetown, is expected to take place this fall.
Terrence Campbell, with RobCar Investments, enters the agreement with 22 years of multi-unit operational experience, currently operating 15 restaurants and previously operating multiple FedEx locations in surrounding Guyana and Suriname areas.
The group currently has 35 franchised operations in the Caribbean, Central and South American regions, as well as six licensed operations in the U.S.
"We've been seeing alot of interest in Pollo Tropical in the Caribbean and Latin American regions, and we hope to open mulitple new international locations by 2020," said Danny Mesenheimer, COO, Pollo Tropical, in a release.
