Pita Pit franchisees raise $23K for charity

An employee appreciation event within Pita Pit led to a spontaneous charity effort that netted $23,000.

It all started at a recent Pita Pit conference in Washington when franchisee Lisa Meyers was awarded "Pita Pit Boost of the Year" for her commitment to revitalizing her restaurant.

Upon acceptance, Meyers shared with fellow franchisees a pledge to donate $3,000 to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, in remembrance of her son who passed away due to a terminal illness.

Hearing her story other franchisees in attendance quickly began supporting Meyers with pledges to the foundation. Within 30 minutes, the franchisees raised $23,000 for Make-a-Wish.
