Pincho Factory has named restaurant industry veteran and its former president, Jayson Tipp, to the CEO post at the company. A news release said that Tipp has a reputation as a consumer analytics, market strategy and development expert.
He joined Pincho earlier this year from Papa Murphy's International, where he served as chief development officer, overseeing the brand's growth across franchise sales, real estate and technology.
Likewise, Pincho Factory co-founder and CMO Otto Othman will also step into the executive chairman's job, while co-founder and former CEO Nedal Ahmad will transition into a consulting role before he opens new restaurants under the brand in his new role as a Pincho Factory franchise partner.
"Jayson is a seasoned executive with a broad range of experience leading teams in the restaurant industry," Ahmad said in the release. "He is a critical thinker and in just a short period of time, has already played a role in shaping the future of our company. We are fortunate to have him as our next CEO at a very exciting time for our brand."
Before his time at Papa Murphy's, Tipp was the brand senior vice president of marketing, helping the organization post 14 consecutive quarters of sales growth. He has also held leadership roles in marketing, development, finance, and strategy roles at Redbox, Potbelly Sandwich Works and Starbucks.
Pincho Factory, which was recently selected by FastCasual.com as one of the Top 100 Movers and Shakers of 2018, currently has five company-owned and five franchised locations throughout South Florida, with plans for 10 more in Washington, D.C., and expansion to 100 locations nationally over the next five years.
