Pie Five Pizza is opening its first Minneapolis-area location on Oct. 23, at 16518 W. 78th Street, on the corner of Highway 5 and County Road 4 in Eden Prairie. There are two additional locations planned in the Twin Cities-area before the end of the year, according to a company press release.
"It's an exciting time at Pie Five — Minneapolis will be a great market for our fresh, make-it-your-way pies," said Randy Gier, chief eating officer with Rave Restaurant Group. "Pie Five makes it easy for everyone to get what they want with artisan pizzas made to order with the entire process taking under five minutes."
The new Pie Five in Eden Prairie is a corporate-owned location and will be run by District Manager Robert Thesing, the release stated. Thesing, a Minnesota native, joins Pie Five with several years of experience opening restaurants in new markets. He previously spent 10 years with Caribou Coffee in a similar role.
As a new member of the community, Pie Five is saying thank you by presenting a $3,000 check to the Eden Prairie High School Booster Association at its opening day ceremony, which will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Dallas-based Pie Five Pizza Co. is a subsidiary of RAVE Restaurant Group, which owns, franchises and supplies more than 300 Pie Five and Pizza Inn restaurants operating domestically and internationally.
