Nearly 3,000 bulk packages of corn and poblano peppers distributed by Pasco Processing of Pasco, Wash., have been recalled.
Pasco supplies peppers to Chipotle Mexican Grill locations in California, Nevada and Arizona, and recalled the peppers because of a possible listeria contamination. No other products that were manufactured by Pasco Processing are involved in the recall and no illnesses have been reported.
According to a statement from Pasco, the recalled product has been removed from the Chipotle locations and quarantined for destruction. Both Pasco and Chipotle also are reportedly working closely with the Food & Drug Administration although none of the production time periods found to contain Listeria were delivered to restaurants.
