Pei Wei, HMSHost open first airport location

December 26, 2011

HMSHost has opened the first Pei Wei China Bistro airport location in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). A part of the P.F. Chang’s family of restaurants, Pei Wei now operates in MSP’s Terminal 1-Lindbergh.

“We are delighted to add Pei Wei to travelers’ dining options,” said Eric Johnson, director-commercial management and Airline Affairs for the Metropolitan Airports Commission, which owns and operates MSP. “We encourage travelers to add a little spice to this year’s holiday travels by tasting some of the great dishes now available at MSP’s new Pei Wei restaurant.”

Pei Weiat MSP will feature the bold flavors of China, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. Signature dishes range from the Pei Wei Spicy Chicken to the traditional Mandarin Kung Pao Chicken, as well as the unique Mongolia Steak. All signature wok dishes are cooked to order and come with a choice of steak, chicken or vegetables. Breakfast options include a mango sausage & egg fried rice wrap, which includes mango jalapeño sausage, cilantro, scallions and egg on a tortilla, or the more traditional breakfast croissant, which includes egg, Monterey Jack cheese, bacon and Sriracha lime mayonnaise.

“We are extremely proud to offer Twin Cities travelers the first airport-based Pei Wei in the world,” said Joe Waller, vice president of Business Development for HMSHost. “Pei Wei is one of the most innovative and award-winning restaurants in the industry. The food is fresh, made to order, and delicious. It will definitely make the traveler’s day better.”
