Papaya King begins franchising

Hot dog and tropical drink concept, Papaya King, is now franchising with Fransmart, according to a press release.

Established in 1932, the concept has three locations in New York City and one in Las Vegas with a second in progress.

"We're excited to start franchising and can’t wait to share New York’s finest hot dog with the rest of America," said Wayne Rosenbaum, president of Papaya King. "It's a big deal to introduce such a vital part of New York City to people who've never had it before. We're looking forward to working with the Fransmart team to make this dream a reality."

The concept has received accolades from the New York Times, celebrities, including Martha Stewart, the Beatles and the late Ed Sullivan and chefs Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern and Emril Lagasse, according to the release.
