Pandini's builds guest loyalty with free iPads

July 7, 2010

In an effort to appeal to its customers, Pandini's guests are getting free use of an iPad while they dine in the Germantown, Pa., store. Guests can use the iPad to peruse the newspaper, check e-mail, traffic, weather, watch YouTube, read iBooks, and more.

“The iPad is the hottest piece of technology in 2010, so it's a great perk for our guests,” said Michael Hollen, vice president of operations, Pandini's. “Many of our guests come in and bring their computer, or have a newspaper. Now, if they are clamoring to try the iPad they can take one for a spin for free.”

Pandini’s, one of the fastest-growing brands by Sodexo’s retail restaurant development team, Retail Brand Group, is committed to the communities they serve, having continued involvement in Germantown since they opened a new location there last year.

The iPads will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and will require presentation of a photo i.d. before use. Guests under the age of 18 may borrow an iPad with an accompanying adult.

“Being a leader in the community is part of what inspires us at Pandini’s,” said Erica Milios, Retail Brand Group's senior director of brand development. “As a concept, we develop flavors, products and services that may be outside the box – like free iPad use – but are in line with our vision of giving our guests what they want before they even know they want it, be a great meal, exceptional service, or a new way to take a break during the day.”
