Panda Express announces Pittsburgh location

Panda Express is soon opening its first Pittsburgh location, according to a company press release, and will  celebrate by donating 20 percent of its grand opening day proceeds to the South Hills YMCA.

Opening day is still being determined, but the store will also participate in the Panda Cares program, which supports charitable organizations in the community, the release said.

"Panda Express is committed to serving the areas we are part of, whether that be through providing guests a place to share the joy of delicious food with loved ones or welcoming residents into our Panda family as associates," David Rodriguez, director of operations for Panda Express, said in the release. "Since this is our first location in Pittsburgh, we look forward to showing our dedication to giving back and supporting others. Helping our communities thrive is a focus for Panda Express and allows our own restaurant and associates to grow and feel a part of something more."
